At CBL, we believe sustainability is a business benefit and we strive to integrate it across all our operational and managerial processes, from planning and development through operations and management.
We have identified four core areas of focus for sustainable operations across the company. They are:
- Energy: We are committed to pursuing opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
- Water: We are committed to pursuing opportunities to increase conservation of water resources.
- Waste: We are committed to working to reduce waste from our operations and to increase waste diversion to landfill through recycling efforts across the portfolio.
- Greenhouse Gas Emissions: We are committed to measuring and reporting Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in an effort to pursue additional opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our centers.

- Complete at least four LED projects.
