At CBL, we believe it is important to find ways to manage our assets in an efficient, sustainable, and effective manner. This helps us drive NOI while reducing environmental impact at the same time.
Some of the more prominent sustainable operations programs include:
- Energy Efficiency: CBL pursues projects intended to reduce energy usage and increase the efficacy of operations.
- Water & Recycling: CBL identifies ways to increase waste diversion and reduce waste to landfill through the promotion of recycling efforts.
- Resource Management: CBL identifies, and advances projects focused on environmental performance. This includes water conservation, procurement, and sustainable systems.

2026 Goals
- Capture and recycle up to 6,000 tons of waste across the portfolio.
- Continue to roll out EV charging stations across our portfolio.
- Complete at least four LED projects.
