About Us

While CBL's history spans more than four decades of success, we're looking to the future and working to redefine our malls as more than just places to shop by combining retail, dining, entertainment, and other mixed-uses. Our malls play pivotal roles in their communities and by joining the CBL team, you can be a part of that excitement.

Our team often cites 'the people' as the best part of working at CBL. We couldn't agree more! That, combined with access to great tools, a collaborative work environment, and other benefits like PTO, volunteer hours, and tuition reimbursement make CBL a great place, not just to work, but to thrive!

The Company is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace. Stories from CBL

Jeannie Taliaferro

Director - Portfolio Operations

I originally joined the CBL team at Richland Mall in Texas in 2002 as an Administrative Assistant. Five years later, I was promoted to a Property Accountant role and when CBL centralized back-office operations in 2015, I was offered an opportunity to relocate from Waco, TX to CBL's corporate office in Chattanooga, TN. I decided to make the move and relocated to Chattanooga and assumed the role of Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst. In 2018, a Director position became available and because of my 15 years of experience, excellent work ethic, and sense of humor, I decided that it was the right role for me. I am proud to be a part of such a strong team - we work together across departments and make things happen the way they should. When I look back over the nearly 20 years I've been with CBL, I find it amazing and rewarding that I've been able to learn so much and contribute in different ways.

Jennifer Cope

Senior Vice President - Operations Services

I joined CBL in 2001 as a Junior Analyst in the Financial Services division. I have had the opportunity to serve in various roles throughout the organization supporting CBL’s insurance and risk management programs, joint-venture relations, loan closings and technology initiatives. I transitioned into business transformation in March 2014 and dedicated my time to new initiatives the Company had taken on, including centralizing our back-office accounting and lease operations. I was promoted to Vice President in 2015 and helped lead our lease operations shared services team, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2021. I am fortunate to work for a Company that has allowed me to pursue my passions, take on new projects and be a part of and grow such a strong team. These past 20 years at CBL have been rewarding, but the best part has been the relationships built with others throughout the organization. I’m looking forward to being a part of the future of CBL and seeing the exciting changes ahead.

Tripp Wingo

Vice President - Accounting

I started at CBL in 2017 as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. I worked on a variety of tasks and projects ranging from filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to the implementation of new accounting standards. Within two years, I transitioned into the role of Director of Financial Reporting. It was in this role that I expanded upon my responsibilities within the accounting department. I briefly left CBL for a short stint, but ultimately returned in 2021. Since returning to CBL, I have continued to lead our financial reporting team and was promoted to Vice President. CBL is an amazing place to work. The people are what make it unique and that played a large role in why I returned. My time at CBL has helped me grow in my profession and as a leader. I look forward to contributing to our future success.
